Secret Foodies is Sydney’s Surprise Dining Experience bringing together lovers of good food, wine and atmosphere.

Meeting at surprise venues across Sydney, the ever-changing team of undercover foodies are unaware of where they are going or who they will meet until 2 hours before the event. Guests are taken on a flavoursome food journey with the Head Chef or owner of the restaurant in a unique dining experience. Learning about the food philosophy and passion behind their meal, foodies are then tasked with reviewing the experience online and releasing their inner food critic.

How did Secret Foodies begin?

Eat Drink Play started in 2009 as the eyes and ears of Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Readers followed tales of Ms Darlinghurst and her pals as they gallivanted through bars and clubs, cafes and restaurants sharing experiences and a few cheeky exploits along the way. Searching for new ways to connect with food lover’s off-line Ms Darlinghurst started Secret Foodies in 2010. Inspired  by guerilla dining in New York and Melbourne and wanting to showcase Sydney’s food scene this was the perfect way to try new places and make new friends.
