It was a night of elegance and sophistication, top class food and service and of course, as usual, the company was delightful. Secret Foodies recently popped ip at Flying Fish, Sydney's award-winning seafood restaurant with a harbour side in Pyrmont.
A Tanqueray and tonic mellowed guests on arrival while canapés of fresh oysters with trout roe, chives and finger lime, prawn paper with sweet-and-sour reduction and kingfish on toast circulated the room.
The four course dinner started with yellowfin tuna, pink grapefruit, puffed pork and black pepper caramel.
Followed by Dashi custard, picked spanner crab and shallot.
The main course was blue-eye trevalla, white balsamic potato, green grape and caper in brown butter.
Dessert was a selection of the chefs favourites and was matched with a Zacapa cocktail.
It was a magical night with water views and glimpses of the Harbour Bridge, and with the twinkling lights surrounding the table it felt like the night sky and stars were in the room. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
