Lush foliage, pops of colour, leis, flowing spritzes and sweet tropical tunes. Secret Foodies created a Tropical Oasis in Brisbane’s West End.
Humid weather instantly channelled tropical vibes as guests arrived at Covent Garden in Brisbane’s West End. Secret Foodies and Crafters Union
presented a Tropical Oasis themed cocktail party to celebrate the launch of their new spritz range. The sounds of Fiesta Tropicale band lured people in to a hidden garden at the back of the venue. A colourful balloon installation on entry created the perfect photo backdrop and guests were given leis and Secret Foodies masks as they entered.
Nothing beats the heat like a crisp spritz, especially when they're ice cold and flowing all afternoon. Crafters Union have four different spritz to try- sparkling wine with lemon botanicals, sparkiling pinotgris with apple & strawberry, sparkling rosé with blood orange and sparkling rosé with limes. As well as their rosé, sauvignon blanc and pinot gris wine.
As foodies mingled, friends cheered drinks, and some enjoyed a throw-back dance to the macarena, a selection of fresh-flavoured canapes rotated through the room. Cucumber, crab and finger lime; House cured wagyu beef on brioche, quail egg, white anchovies were just two of the seven savoury canapes on offer. For sweet options, the chocolate truffles with lemon verbena jelly and raspberry powder quickly became a crowd favourite.
As the afternoon went on, foodies mingled, strangers became friends and tummy’s became content! Special thanks goes to the Covent Garden team for making the day possible.
