We couldn’t think of a better way to embrace the change of seasons and celebrate the beautiful city of Sydney than a Dinner Under the Stars. 

At 5:00pm our eager foodies received an SMS revealing the location for Dinner Under the Stars event, hosted at the incredible Chippendale eatery, Concrete Jungle.

As the clock hit 7:00pm guests began making their way up Kensington Street following the sounds of our DJ and Saxophonist and were greeted by twinkling fairy lights. Once they found themselves at Concrete Jungle, guests were seated along the street outside the venue, ready to stargaze the night away.  

The team at Concrete Jungle created a 4 course meal based around the Chakras, with each course being inspired by a different colour. The crew teamed up with Pernod-Ricard to produce a series of matching conscious cocktails. Guests were greeted on arrival with a Passionfruit Vodka Spritz made with Absolut Vodka, grapefruit, lemon, passionfruit and soda. 

Once everyone had arrived it was time for the feast to begin. The first course was a refreshing tomato and kombucha gel gazpacho vinaigrette with avocado, kingfish and a tortilla crisp.  This was perfectly paired with the new Beefeater Blood Orange Gin cocktail with strawberries, mint, lemon, agave, coconut water and soda. 

Our second course for the night was Moroccan spiced scallops with turmeric, cauliflower, and pomegranate, all inspired by the colour yellow. This was matched with a Beefeater London Dry Gin cocktail with limoncello, italicus, yuzu and rosemary. 

As the sun began to set, our saxophonist continued to serenade our diners. Next, it was time for the next course, featuring pan-seared Barramundi with grilled cucumber, summer vegetables, green miso and almond mayonnaise. This fresh summery dish paired perfectly with the flavours of our next cocktail, crafted with Absolut vodka, elderflower liqueur, basil, cucumber, mint, and topped up with Fever-Tree elderflower tonic.

To finish the evening on a sweet note, the Concrete Jungle team treated our foodies to a dessert of blueberry poached peach, vanilla cream, and fig granita. This was made even sweeter with our final conscious cocktail on the night, The Glenlivet founders reserve, cassis, espresso liquor, Campari and Cointreau. 

Just like that the night had flown by with delicious food, incredible cocktails and even better company. Our foodies certainly enjoyed a night dining under the stars.
