We escaped for an evening of luxury to a secluded waterfront location
At 5pm, guests received their texts letting them know their event for the evening will be taking place at Sala in Pyrmont.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a Sicilian Old Fashioned made with Malfy Rosa. They enjoyed this in the front lounge with Harbours views.
When it was time, everyone went upstairs to take their seats. Sala’s homemade bread with whipped maple butter and Pugliese extra virgin olive oil welcomed them to their table.
Once guests were settled into their seats, the wine started flowing: Hardys Tintara Fiano. This paired nicely with the antipasti plates that came to the table to share: Black Figs with candied hazelnuts and caccio ricotta; Hiramasa kingfish crudo; charred calamari; 18 month prosciutto di San Danielle.
Up next were the mains for the table. Out came grilled skull island tiger prawns, murray cod, margra lamb cutlets, ricotta ravioli, roasted baby kipfler potatoes and ramarro farm organic leaves. The two wines that paired with these dishes were Hardys Heritage Reserve Bin Chardonnay and Hardys Heritage Reserve Bin Shiraz.
For dessert, a selection of ‘Assagini’ tasting desserts by Sala’s pastry team were served. This paired nicely with Hardys Rare Fortified Sauvignon Blanc. Another successful event, very excited for the next one!
